http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... R1600LV4GK[/url] ? It has very low timings compared to that written above therefore is more faster than OCZ GOLD that has timings 8-8-8-24 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS)
I personally prefer the G.Skill Ecos... 1600@CL7

What about this one? :D http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=258&c1=1&c2=3
It is the fastest memory available today...[/quote:r8a48itz]
Have no experience with these, but for sure you won't be able to fit the under the Mugen-2...
So you might need to consider an alternative placement (i.e. not over your RAM) for your Mugen's fan...

Since you are ordering 8GB of RAM, don't forget to only install with 4GB.
Not necessarily. Nowadays, that's mostly precautionary, but you can 'gamble' and try to install with all 8GB populated.
It worked for me.

Is there any reason to 'gamble' though? What's the payoff? Does it it hurt to install with 4GB and just pop in the other 4GB afterwards?

You're knowledge of this stuff is far beyond mine, so I'm purely curious.

For me it was "getting under the hood again" and "refitting the Mugen-2 fan" ;)
And knowing iBoot limits the RAM to 4GB, I though it would work... it did...

Thanks :)

Ah, I see. For me, I was pleasantly surprised to see the my Cooler Master V8 has plenty of clearance for RAM (even my ripjaws). :headbang:

Indeed...
Aside of the "Engine looks", the high clearance is really nice...
But, isn't it too loud for you ?

I'm not sure... :?

My case is definitely a little bit louder than I want it to be right now, but I'm unsure of what is causing it. I bought a new case, new fans, and the cooler. I made some mods to the case, assembled it, and have only been using it for a day or so. I haven't begun my investigation into whether it's the fans or the cooler that is making the noise, but I definitely intend to. I may buy a fan controller to turn down my fans about.

As far as the cooler goes, it looks great/matches my theme(my opinion, of course), and it cools really well. I need to put up a post of my build with all the pictures I took, I'm just unsure of where to do it (user builds?). Anywho, I'm overall happy with the cooler, even though I know most people here are huge fans of the Mugen (not that I'm not).

Yes, in 'user builds' it will be nice...
Or the antique "Show us your system" thread: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=637

I like antiques. :D

I have just got all my money. :D I am going to order my new system tomorrow. It will be nice. :D

However What about Noctua NH-D14? I know that it is quite good CPU Cooler. But is it quite noisy too?

Also I am considering to pick this memory kit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... L7D-4GBTDS It hass better timing than OCZ Reaper: 7-7-7-21 and low voltage.

As for case, it will be Cooler Master CM 690 II Advance ATX Mid-Tower Case.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Watch the clearance on your RAM.
