Hey guys! Put together my first build the other week. Loving it so far. I made a mistake when chosing my parts though. I chose a motherboard with ONLY onboard VGA and planned to use the HD3000 IGPU from my Core i5 2500k.

My question is, does anyone know how to get my HD3000 recognized even within 10.8?
I am currently running on a stable 10.8.2 build. My resolution is stuck at the ever so notorious 1024x768.

No QE/CI of course. and I get this feedback from System Profiler:

Display:

Type: GPU
Bus: Built-In
VRAM (Total): 64 MB of Shared System Memory
Vendor: Intel (0x8086)
Device ID: 0x0112
Revision ID: 0x0009
Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded
Displays:
Display:
Resolution: 1024 x 768
Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)
Main Display: Yes
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes

I am running a DSDT-free system right now. Audio, sleep, and wifi all working. \
If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it so greatly! I would rather not buy a dedicated Nvidia card. But if all else fails... Thanks Tonymacx86

My specs:
GA-H61m-ds2 Rev 2.2 Bios F7
Core i5 2500k 3.3ghz - Hd3000
8GB Corsair DDr3
750GB Seagate HDD

Got the same problem. i can install mac mini in snowleopard and it appears like intel HD 3000
but no kext isnalled and not right reolution.
any idea guys?

cheers

What is your system definition string (SMproductname) set to in /Extra/smbios.plist? To use HD 3000, it should probably be "MacMini5,1". If it isn't rerun MultiBeast and select that under Customization->System Definitions.
