HP gone cheap on the motherboard. Its got a Soldiered CPU. Cant see how it has a ES/QS CPU unless your laptop is a (Sample Laptop) Verify that IMEI shows up under lspci in Linux.

i3 5005U is a (FCBG) chip which means (Soldiered).
Most mobile CPUs are soldered to the motherboard.

Most mobile CPUs are soldered to the motherboard.

Some are some aren't depends which brand I guess. My 4540s isn't soldered. I had issues with missing IMEI on a laptop board awhile back. I tried a BIOS re-flash & IMEI Firmware Update none didn't work.

You'd probably need a motherboard swap.

I did that months ago. There IS a IMEI controller on PCI but something else is wrong.

It would help to attach. Or show output of Device Manager from windows.

I don't have Windows :/. I applied the "change HECI to IMEI" on the DSDT and I see the device in the IOReg. I will attach lspci tomorrow.

I repeat...

Clearly, you didn't follow the guide.
My recommendation: Start over from scratch and follow the guide as written.

Also, one more thing I see from ioreg.
You have no Intel MEI device on the PCI bus. It is required.
Usually it is due to one or more:
- motherboard defect
- CPU is ES/QS
- bad BIOS flash
- people disabling the IMEI on purpose
- etc/etc

You mean that I can't have video acceleration with the notebook without Intel MEI, if so I will sell the notebook which have no use now at least for me that need for iOS development.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I read the Broadwell 8x0 G2 and this includes dsl files at your repository, I didn't find some inject that are using IMEI, BTW I can't get full video acceleration without it?

other question what uses IMEI?

I mean it is required by the macOS itself? or Clover?

And finally has any way to bypass or to fix this problem with IMEI?

I guess that what I'm using is the build of this file:
https://github.com/RehabMan/HP-ProB...lob/master/hotpatch/SSDT-8x0-G2-Broadwell.dsl

I didn`t know if it can help but I attached output of lspci.

Correct. macOS/OS X requires Intel MEI.

I didn`t know if it can help but I attached output of lspci.

No Intel MEI listed (as expected, as we already verified in ioreg).
