OSX: Sierra - Apple App Store
Comments
After months of battling with my X99 build to try to get it running stable, I'm tapping out and attempting a Kaby Lake build.
Now that Kaby Lake is natively supported by Apple, I'm hoping the whole process will be easier.
I'm using, mostly, already owned hardware, with the exception of the CPU: 7700k and Mobo: ASUS Z270 IX Hero.
Although I've been noodling around with hacks for the last 5 years.. I still don't consider myself very knowledgable, so please bare with me, and any tips/corrections/advice is warmly welcomed.
I managed to get my X99 build running FAIRLY smoothly, but I could never get past USB issues. Most likely I wasn't doing something correctly.
The main purpose for my hack is audio production and occasional video/animation work.
The reason I chose the components I did was because they were in the most recent (Sep 2017) buyers guide. So I'm hoping I'll be able to emulate other builds with similar components.
I am still waiting for my motherboard to be delivered, but I'll be updating this thread as I put everything together.
