Whats the difference between the i7 4770 and the i7 4771 then ?

Only thing I can see initially is a 100mhz difference in the base speed, as in 3.4 Ghz for the 4770 and 3.5 Ghz for the 4771.

Processor Intel Core i7-4770K is different from its counterpart Core i7-4770 is not only an unlocked multiplier, but higher operating frequency.

Core i7-4770 is clocked at 3.4 GHz (3.9 GHz mode Turbo Boost), while the Core i7-4770K is clocked at 3.5 GHz. The new processor Core i7-4771 is similar in frequency i7-4770K, but has a multiplier locked. New product to replace the i7-4770.

The VR-Zone conducted tests i7-4771, which included the program 7-Zip, AIDA64 ZLib and wPrime. As expected, the new product is fully consistent with i7-4770K, running on a regular frequency.
