My work - gadgeteering ...

Machine need much air, therefore dont cover the empty connector.

Biggest problem: HDMI cable...
Not enough place :( G4 leg with screw...
Now: cutt the hdmi connector plastic and take out the original usb hole...

I unhappy: hdmi cable connector not enugh hole to neck:(
Later i buy 50cm or 30cm HDMI cable.
Idiot LG! monitor( 22EA53) deep just 5.5cm, but the connector dont see downarrow :(
medium-05.jpgEarly IPS 235V good, but overheavy...

Front USB in door - my wife idea!!!!!!
I would like front audio etc...

This is a very good idea!

I've also been thinking about something like that, but then I've decided to keep the original DVD drive.

I unhappy: hdmi cable connector not enugh hole to neck
Later i buy 50cm or 30cm HDMI cable.

You could splice the HDMI cable and then route it through the neck, but this would be very difficult...

I sell this monitor and buy LG 22EA53 IPS LED monitor - this 2.6kg. OK!

3. step
I have ssd+Hdd combo (OSX and WIN). First I make ssd over hdd, but the motherboard to high!
I cut out original iMac stand and ssd beside hdd. Must have short (10cm) SATA cable!

Hi, sorry for bothering. I'm really interested in your mod because I'm building one with a new display too. Did you use 17" iMac neck with a VESA plate?? Which exact weight has your lg display? Can you please post lg monitor's model identification?

LG 22EA53 i write first thread :)
and buy LG 22EA53 IPS LED monitor - this 2.6kg. OK!

Sorry, I've asked because I found on the web different model of lg22ea53! Found it with vp-q as finals or Lg22ea53ht.
i've just bought it and waiting for it. Have you installed it with a VESA plate fixed on the neck? Does the neck have perfect movement? Or it is sluggy and it sags?
