Bump!! HELP!...
I'm SO, SO, close! I hope that anyone can help out.
I have a Samsung P480 running very well with most info and kexts from this thread, but I'm still a little stuck with the brightness and the sleep/hibernate features. Seems to mimic the R480 very well.
1. Can you outline the steps (or where you got the info) you took to get the brightness working via a DSDT update. Ideally I don't want to install/use Shades, as I remember reading that it's not good on battery life(?) compared to setting up the FN up/down controls.
2. What's the best solution for hibernate/sleep? I'm not too fussed about saving that state of the machine as I'll be able to boot up and power down sessions just fine. (bar accidental battery drains) What I simply need, is the ability to "close the lid" while I transfer commuter trains, without causing a whole load of reboot issues. The best I've found so far is to disable it all as per below. Is there a better solution? And/or will is there any other issues I'm missing if I simply disable it?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Code:
sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0
sudo rm -rf /var/vm/sleepimage
sudo pmset -a lidwake 0
Thanks in advance for any help!
