Hackintosh dual displays query

Hi Gents,

I'm sure one of you can help me out pretty swiftly..

On my Hackintosh I've got dual screens. They work in Windows (7) showing 'extended desktop' but in OS X (10.6.8) they don't.

They both 'work', as it were.. but in OS X they only 'mirror' and give me the desktop twice. In 'System Preferences/Displays there is NO option to change that, it only shows options for one display - as if it doesn't even register the second monitor.

Anybody know why? Is it a kexts issue?, Do I need a different card? or what?

(The graphics card is an ATI Radeon).

You will not get an informative answer without updating your profile to include:

System - motherboard make/model
CPU - Intel - Model
Graphics - make/model

At the moment this is what is showing:
System:macbook
CPU:2 gHz
Graphics:64

Not a lot of detail to work on........
