i have them side by side on the desktop but no entries in the log + i have just deleted the old & installed a fresh copy of unibeast

You might look directly at the log via Terminal:

cat /var/log/Install.log|more
# or
tail /var/log/Install.log

Or maybe you have somehow turned off Installer.app logging?
 
this the only entry shown in the all messages tab when i open unibeast.

I think you are looking at system.log, not install.log.

how do i turn on installer app logging?

i repaired permissions & restarted & i now have log entries when i start/run unibeast which thread should i post them to or can i just post them here?

It does not appear that you selected "Mac App Store Mountain Lion - 10.8" at all...
Looks to me like you only selected "Laptop Support"

With those few words my problem was solved I guess after deleting & reinstalling the mountainlion app i stopped selecting it in unibeast Sir I am humbled & thank you for your efforts now im trying to get to the installer screen I get flashing the black screen I tried the extra boot arguments but still nothing but im 1 step closer

For 4530s there are no "extra boot arguments" required.
Is this machine new or used?
What are the full details/specs of the laptop?
