Hello

We are moving forward; Theatre slowly, but it moves a bit.
J spent great moments to control technology DVMT (no), between the translation and the screen that is not wonderful.

But it worked before.

boot failure, after panic, disk error, USBMCS etc etc...

J found the trick with table selection SaSsdt and an entry in a false identification.

I patsch Dsdt and wanted tried patsh M. Toledo.

But I get an error.

Can you help me to solve the problem.

I'm looking for a solution for my problem.

Nothing more, and nothing less.

I already tried so many things without results.
 
Hi,

I wanted to patch backlight for my laptop (ASUS n56jn Haswel ) as here and done these :
  • Get all needed programs.
  • Extract all aml files to a folder.
  • Make all dsl files just like guid.
  • Found the SSDT file with "GFX0" named (SSDT-4.dsl)
  • Tried patch it with repository with this patch "[igpu] Brightness fix (Haswell/Broadwell)"
  • Compile without any error
  • Saved as ACPI "SSDT-4.aml" (removed old aml file and then save it so be sure this is the correct one).
  • Move just this new file to EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched
  • Restart.

Still no brightness control in system performance setting display for brightness.

What I done wrong or missed?

Sounds like you forgot to install ACPIBacklight.kext (or IntelBacklight.kext). But you could have other problems. For example you don't mention DropOem=true, nor copying the other OEM SSDTs.

Note: You only need "Brightness Fix" to DSDT + IntelBacklight.kext (you should read the guide carefully).

Also, read guide post #1, "Problem Reporting".

Read post #1. It is very clear about the fact that only errors must be fixed.
