[Guide] Native Power Management for Laptops

Now, can you tell me about my cpu pm ???

EDIT: I've tried to reinstall vanilla AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient.kext,
but it isn't shown by kextload... how is it possible!?!

You seem to not be aware of what you've done to your system since you installed....

Do a fresh install.

I had Disabler.kext installed (something like NullCPU...). I've deleted it.
But now I get kernel panic for AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext at boot.

How can I fix it ?

OK! I fix kernel panic. Your guide helped me. I got panic beacause appleintelcpupowermanagement was not patched. I used multibeast to patch it.
Now I think that CPU PM works fine. I get:

And Intel Power Gadget shows me frequency up to 3,2 ghz ...

PS: I've a issue with brightness control. If I use your patch for dsdt, brightness works,
but first boot fails and I have to power down pc pushing and holding power button.
Than at second boot, pc works fine. This situation is every time.
Where can I post this topic ???

hi I'm new to clover.

And installed yosemite in a laptop with i7-4720HQ

But i haven't created SSDT but DPCI manager shows that PM is working. Should i leave it like that, or should i generate my own SSDT.

Sometimes, slightly better results are with the custom SSDT. But Clover can generate a lot of the required data itself (Generate/PStates=true, GenerateCStates=true, PluginType=1). That's probably what you're doing...
 
This guide will start assuming you are running Multibeast for the first time and wish to implement power management on a laptop with a Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge CPU, or Haswell CPU.


so this does not apply to arrandale family ?
 
Is there any guide out here for the older arrandale family.
