[Guide] Lenovo Z50-70/Z40-70/G50-70/G40-70 using Clover UEFI

Alright now I tried to change the whole EFI folder , I used @bhedge EFI folder "who seems using same laptop model with me Z50-70"

I booted with clover USB and copied new EFI from USB to System EFI and rebooted


Now macOS drive is showing along with recovery and reset NVRAM BUT whenever I press on macOS drive to boot the system restarting immediately without even apple logo

Ok problem solved finally , I found out that I should make my SSD as APFS not Mac Extended (journaled) as I was always doing partition set and booted perfectly with almost everything works ..


Now system update shows that I can update to Monterey 12.1 , but when first installation of the update finished and then restart and boot into new appear partition "mac os installer" it loads up then showing the recovery window with an error says " a required firmware update could not be installed " and then I have to click restart to boot back to Catalina

Thank you so much I did used latest OC and smoothly updated to Monterey 12.1


Only 1 problem left which is I can't change the brightness with f11 and f12 only manually with the slider , f2 and f3 working for increasing/decreasing the sound

Using @bhedge EFI folder who's using same as my model "Z50-70" brightness and sound keys working fine but he's using voodooHDA kext and the sound is so law

Using @daigosx EFI folder who's using G50 , sound is working perfectly with AppleALC and sound keys working


I guess I need to copy something from @bhedge config to @daigosx config and delete something from @daigosx to make it work but I can't find what is it

I see _Q11 to XQ11 and _Q12 to XQ12 have the same find and replace data numbers exactly so what do I need to change more please ??


And thank you if feels great to have the latest OSX with almost everything working

yep I realized that I need to show you what files I'm using hahaha but does the config files only are enough or I have to upload full efi folders ?

you will have to examine the renames and aml files from each efi

this is the issue when you copy random efi's from people

go with the one efi that works best and copy over the bits needed to make the bits that don't work

well Z50 config works fine with keys but it's using voodooHDA for sound and it's too low sound and WIFI doesn't work since he has Intel maybe while on DAIG config wifi works perfectly and sound also just keys for brightness not working

replace vodoohda with Applealc, make sure to use the same audio layout
