How can I check the display name/type/id so that I can compare to other's?

You should verify, but I think your display is the same as mastercardhead1's. You can get EDID from ioreg and compare.

I'm using BIOS 9ECN31WW(V1.14) EC 9EEC31WW (V1.14) with InsydeH2O 3.7

Did you enable legacy boot/CSM?

I'm pretty sure there is a newer BIOS.

You can remove the patch for HDMI audio (in config.plist) and it will fix it. This is an Apple bug with certain displays. I have the same issue with my Dell u2410 and my real Apple MacBookAir6,2.

-What do i remove again?

-Also, thanks so much Rehabman, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have a hackintosh :)

Look in your config.plist for HDMI-audio.

If you find an ioreg from mastercarhead1 (likely in this thread) you can compare your edid.

A decode:
Code:

EDID seems to be the same, compared to what I've found in this post.

That's the same conclusion I came to when I checked (although there are some others with 1080p screens that are different).

So there must be some other difference...

Have you done that fresh install yet?

No I didn't reinstall. I can do that tomorrow evening. But I'm not sure if that Splashtop software was causing problems, because I even had this problem during installation from USB and while patching the system.

Booting from USB is not a complete setup.
