[Guide] Lenovo U310/U410 using Clover UEFI (10.11)

Which option are you guys using?

The Yosemite guide was using "I partitioned my USB drive in 2 partitions, ~500MB MBR with fat32 for the EFI, and the rest HFS+J for the installer"

Below is copy/paste from RehabMan:
Clover and the OS X installer are placed on separate partitions on the USB. There are two options as is relates to USB partitioning:

• Option 1: MBR with a FAT32 partition for Clover and a separate HFS+J partition for the OS X installer.
• Option 2: GPT with a single HFS+J partition for the OS X installer (hidden EFI partition automatically created)

I just bought a pre-owned U310, what are you guys doing with the 32GB SSD?
1. Fusion drive?
2. remove it?
3. ignore it?

I upgraded it and use as my main drive for OSX. And the hdd as windows 10

Hi, i want to update my u410 to El Capitan as i am still on Mavericks but need to migrate to Clover without doing a fresh install could anyone please help me with this?

Create Clover USB as per post #1 and be certain you can boot your system with it.
Then do post-install steps as per post #1.

Now I have to be patient to bring Sierra on my U410.

The first try was okay. Sound not working. Touchpad was empty in Preferences - I read, that there is a problem. The Monitor preferences where not be possible to open.... So overall not that nice.

That's why i switched back to EL Capitan.

Hi, Just out of interest how did you revert back to El Capitan?

Hi Rehabman, I seem to be having a little trouble. I have successfully migrated to clover and updated to El Capitan however i am not getting sound and my ethernet port doesn't seem to be working anymoret(need to do further tests with hdmi etc). I have followed this guide to installed the relevant kexts(or attempted to) but im not having any luck. Could you please have a look at my ioreg if you have time and advise me any further.

Attach ioreg as ZIP: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

Provide output (in Terminal):

kextstat|grep -y acpiplat
kextstat|grep -y appleintelcpu
kextstat|grep -y applelpc
kextstat|grep -y applehda

Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (press F4 at main Clover screen before collecting). Please eliminate 'themes' directory. Provide only EFI/Clover, not the entire EFI folder.

Attach output of (in Terminal):

sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /

Compress all files as ZIP. Do not use external links. Attach all files using site attachments only.

Your config.plist is corrupt, therefore ignored by Clover.
