Something else is wrong. The two are not related.

Make sure you regen SSDT when you change SMBIOS.
Thank you for your reply. SMBIOS set for MacBook Pro 9,2 and I have connected my DVD drive, DVD Player is now working and support full features. :angel:
With SMBIOS MacBook Air, it did not require DVD drive :silent:

Not surprising given that MacBookAir5,2 has no built-in DVD, yet MacBookPro9,2 does.

Excuse me but I am a rookie on Hackintosh. I recently installed Yosemite 10.10.5 on my T430 but I cannot make the audio, power management, brightness and sleep feature to work.

  • Audio: tried everything but no device is detected.
  • Power management: doesn´t know where to start, the battery symbol is crossed.
  • Brightness: unable to use the function keys.
  • Sleep: the screen blanks and I cannot wake it up, just power off.

Can anybody help me with a step by step for dummies?

Thanks

System: Lenovo T430 2349N7G
CPU: i5-3230m/QM77
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768x32
BT: Broadcom 20702A3

Audio: Realtec ACL3202 aka. ALC269

For Audio, Power Management, Battery and Brightness you need DSDT and fixes for the T430, plus the corresponding kexts.

hello! I have the same T430 configuration and followed your guide using your archives. Everything works fine except the audio. I have tried everything :banghead: ...Can you help me?

Im using the AppleHDA kext from the thread.

Again corrupt ...

Did you boot with - kext-dev-mode=1

If yes:
Did you patched your DSDT with Layout ID? Be sure that you patch the correct ID - for me it is 28.

If yes:
Did you applied IRQ Fix?
-> both can obtained from RehabMans repo.

If yes:
Did the AppleHDA load?
Code:
[COLOR=#000000][FONT=Menlo]kextstat | grep -i HDA[/FONT][/COLOR]

If no:
Check console for AppleHDA.

Thanks again for your reply.

AppleHDA was not loading, so I applied the IRQ fix and now it loads.
Im trying to patch the DSDT with layout id 28 but don´t know how, which will be the correct numbers on this one for the corresponding 28?

into method label _DSM parent_label HDEF remove_entry;
into device label HDEF insert
begin
Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized)\n
{\n
If (LEqual (Arg2, Zero)) { Return (Buffer() { 0x03 } ) }\n
Return (Package()\n
{\n
"layout-id", Buffer() { 3, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 },\n
"hda-gfx", Buffer() { "onboard-1" },\n
"PinConfigurations", Buffer() { },\n
//"MaximumBootBeepVolume", 77,\n
})\n
}\n
end;
