[Guide] Lenovo IdeaPad U330/U430/U530 using Clover UEFI (10.11)

Hey guys,

I know, I am probably stating the obvious... but you have to upgrade Clover to the latest version BEFORE you try upgrading from 10.11 to 10.11.1

Clover #3292 does the job neatly.
Clover #3280 will not boot the upgraded installation. In that case you can do a "dirty" reinstallation of 10.11 from your usb key which you hopefully still have kept.

After such a reinstallation you will probably not have sound and bluetooth. The "no audio" instructions of Post #1 do bring them back. However, the new Disk Utility.app does not have a "repair permissions" button. Just use the "first aid" button instead.

No need to repair permissions or use first aid. There is nothing that would cause the permissions to be incorrect.

Today I did a small update to my VoodooPS2Trackpad.kext project.

It should help make two finger scroll quite a bit more responsive.

You can update with ./download.sh, ./install_downloads.sh.

According to ioreg, both WiFi and bluetooth are working.

What is the issue?

WiFi does not use USB.

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Note: When specifying your bootloader, if using Clover legacy, please be sure to specify "Clover legacy"). Specifying "Clover" will be assumed as "Clover UEFI"

The ioreg shows WiFi working. Make sure it works in Windows. Make sure antennas are connected correctly, etc.
