[Guide] Laptop backlight control using AppleBacklightFixup.kext

Problems/comments:
- MacBookPro14,3 is a poor choice. Use MacBookPro14,1 or MacBook11,1.
- backlight control looks correct. It is possible your computer is not compatible with AppleBacklight.kext (alternative is ACPIBacklight.kext + "Brightness Fix (ACPI 100)" + Brightness by bergdesign).

I already made the change to the MacBook to 11,1 and I acpibackligh didn't work on skylake or am I mistaken and can it work ok high sierra ? The funny thing is I download a brightness cider from the App Store and it worked

Like I already wrote:

This guide only works with laptops that use the IGPU PWM. There are some that do not use it... therefore they are not compatible with AppleBacklight.kext (all Apple Intel HD graphics laptops use the IGPU PWM for backlight control).

Your option is ACPIBacklight.kext + "Brightness Fix (ACPI 100)" + Brightness by bergdesign.

What about Keyboard Brightness Keys? Has the method changed on High Sierra?
