I have tried zearp EFI (saw this name on a previous post) strangely enough it works

Correct me if I'm wrong, so you install zearp's EFI first, after that try with 7.9?

It is already OC7.9 I think

it says 8.0 which is still in development until next month, a few differences in the two versions so it's hard to know what makes the difference for you guys.

I eliminated all of the ACPI patches except one and then used the Device Properties from Zearp. Glad it worked!

Stupid question of the day - ran the OC 7.9 version on my nuc8i5 for day on the usb stick and now have applied to drive. Everything works fine..only thing I noticed was that the boot screen option to clear NVRAM is gone. Is that no longer supported?
