[Guide] HP ProBook/EliteBook/Zbook using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Status

Hello, anyone have successful enabled QE/CI on a HP Elitebook 840 G5. (with i5-8250U & UHD 620). ?
If so, please comment / provide files, I have done it with the installer, but not worked for me. (everything else works, camera, sound, etc, even 2K resolution over HDMI port, etc. .... but no transparency, QE, CI ...), so it's a bit laggy/slow.

Do you have advice how I can check it on the spot whether it has the same issue?

You can check for IMEI presence in Windows Device Manager.

@@RehabMan My right click on my trackpad doesn't work with the master branch of your repo.

No details provided regarding how you're attempting to invoke right click.
No problem reporting files attached either.

Hi Rehabman.
My laptop might be similar to this guide. but i need some tweaks. I dont understand the dsdt patch, even though I had read the ddst patch guild twice a lot.
this is my information:
- native DSDT/SSDT files extracted via Clover F4 (ACPI/origin)
- audio codec dump from Linux
- full hardware details (CPU, chipset, graphics device, screen resolution, etc)
- output from 'lspci -nn' in Linux Terminal

Your laptop is already provided for in this guide.

Hi @RehabMan ,

Thanks to the guide, but I am confuse, because I have Probook 4430s with 250GB Samsung SSD. I already installed the 10.11 on my laptop, but I forgot what installer that I used. I am planning to upgrade my macOS, I am confuse for upgrading, where to start. Please give me an advice, Thanks

Follow post #1 instructions.

Hello. I installed Mojave on my ProBook 450 G.1
I have done all the steps in the Post install guide and everything works fine except the trackpad. When I go to the trackpad in system preferences there are all the options for gestures etc (there wasnt anything before) but I still cannot use the trackpad. There are slight touches sometimes, but all they do is somehow "block" the pointer and I have to touch it a lot of times to get it to normal. What could be the problem?

Your profile is not filled out with complete hardware details. Please fix as per FAQ.
And read post #1, "Problem Reporting".

Note:
Code:
NUC6i7KYK:report.git rehabman$ grep -y 0x191e8086 -R /System/Library/Extensions
/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelSKLGraphics.kext/Contents/Info.plist: <string>0x09018086 0x09028086 0x09038086 0x09048086 0x19328086 0x19128086 0x19178086 0x19028086 0x19168086 0x19218086 0x191E8086 0x19068086 0x190E8086 0x19138086 0x19158086 0x19268086 0x19278086 0x190B8086 0x191B8086 0x192B8086 0x193B8086</string>
/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelSKLGraphicsFramebuffer.kext/Contents/Info.plist: <string>0x19168086 0x191E8086 0x19268086 0x19278086 0x19128086 0x19328086 0x19028086 0x19178086 0x193B8086 0x191B8086</string>
I’m running El Capitan. 0X191E8086 was contained in the two kext. But when changing to newer commit, it lost 3D acceleration.

I didn't use your Clover because the timeout is broken.

I had this problem with the stock version of Clover, as well. It seemed to be an issue with AptioInputFix.efi. Removing it solved the problem for me.
