[Guide] HP ProBook/EliteBook/Zbook using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Could be motherboard/CPU issue.

Well, thanks for taking the time to look into it. I've given up on it and I'll be selling it, as Windows and Ubuntu run without issues.

So, I'll be getting a G3 soon. Do you have advice how I can check it on the spot whether it has the same issue? I've done three previous Elitebooks without any problems, so I'm freaked out I could get one of those non-IMEI having boards again? Thanks.

Hi Rehabman; Thanks for the guide; Have everything in my HP Elitebook 850 G2 up and running thanks to your great guide. :) !

Hello, anyone have successful enabled QE/CI on a HP Elitebook 840 G5. (with i5-8250U & UHD 620). ?
If so, please comment / provide files, I have done it with the installer, but not worked for me. (everything else works, camera, sound, etc, even 2K resolution over HDMI port, etc. .... but no transparency, QE, CI ...), so it's a bit laggy/slow.

I have a 840 G5 8350U working fine. Try the 8x0_G4_Kabylake files

Ok, I've tried the 8x0_G5 ones, not the G4 ones.... will try them and see...

Anyway, just to not change all the config.... can you attach me your EFI dir, so I see what you use.
And are you sure you get QE/CI and Metal on "Yes" in fb-patcher?

@RehabMan My right click on my trackpad doesn't work with the master branch of your repo. Do you think i2c branch fix that issue?
Did you updated the branch?

You used to have 3 branches , (i2c, master, and something else for the audio) and then you had only the master branch. Now the 'i2c' is ok for our i2c trackpads?

Hi Rehabman.
My laptop might be similar to this guide. but i need some tweaks. I dont understand the dsdt patch, even though I had read the ddst patch guild twice a lot.
this is my information:
- native DSDT/SSDT files extracted via Clover F4 (ACPI/origin)
- audio codec dump from Linux
- full hardware details (CPU, chipset, graphics device, screen resolution, etc)
- output from 'lspci -nn' in Linux Terminal

Can you provide the DEBUG ? (EFI folder, plist...etc.)
So I can compare what the hell is different and why is not working...
( Btw... are you using MOJAVE? ... I'm on Mojave 10.14.1 )
Because I read that the 8th gen ones, were using a special HIGH SIERRA version, so I dunno... maybe the key is this one!

I have 10.14.2 working fine.
Follow the guide as writen. I have previouly posted problem reporting files that should be enough for what you want, search the thread history. I2c branch worked better for me.

installed MacOSMojave 10.14.2 on Probook 430 g5 by following the guide step by step ..runs well ....
thanks RehabMan

Hi @RehabMan ,

Thanks to the guide, but I am confuse, because I have Probook 4430s with 250GB Samsung SSD. I already installed the 10.11 on my laptop, but I forgot what installer that I used. I am planning to upgrade my macOS, I am confuse for upgrading, where to start. Please give me an advice, Thanks
