When i wrote that post - 4658 was the latest version

Ok. I'll try latest version at this time.
But in changelog - no fixes related to this problem :/

  • fix bug where EDID specified in Devices/Properties would not be injected if Graphics/EDID/Inject=false

  • allow EDID settings from Graphics/EDID to apply to EDID injection properties (override-no-connect, override-no-edid) in Devices/Properties

  • update to latest Clover svn (4701)
Released as Clover_v2.4k_r4697.RM-4952.c464150b.zip on bitbucket, 2018-10-07 (removed):

  • update to latest Clover svn (4697) -- Note: EFI/FV2 drivers group refactor in the Clover installer

It was not something I caused, nor something I fixed.
This is all on svn/sourceforge Clover.

I don't know why you're using an old build when the guide clearly instructs to use the latest.

sorry for asking - but do you read what i am posting to you ? (post date and etc. When i posted this issue - clover 4701 was not available, 4658 was the latest release).
Nevermind.. Trying to install latest version

EDIT:

Updating to "Clover_v2.4k_r4701.RM-4963.ca6cca7c.zip" - fixed clover countdown issue !!! Thanks!

Of course you did. The Clover with the fix was not uploaded until Oct 10.

Bottom line:
- it was a problem in mainline sourceforge/svn Clover
- not my bug
- it was fixed in later revs of sourceforge/svn Clover
- no idea who broke it, nor who fixed it (not me)
- when I updated my version of Clover from latest svn, it was henceforth fixed
- you continued to use older/broken Clover after the newer version already was released
- you continued to report the problem with a version of Clover superseded by a new build
- you were either unaware of the new build or neglected to update to it
- you were then informed of the newer build
- when you updated to the current build (eventually), your issue was fixed
- no surprise
 
First, thanks for this great tut! I installed High Sierra with this tut on my 9470m and all is working. Only 1 thing I don't know how to change: the fan speed of this 9470m.. For example (HWMonitor) it's 4k rpm @ 46C degrees. Is there a way to change the fan speed to lower speeds? Or set it off under 60C degrees for example?
