[Guide] HP ProBook/EliteBook/Zbook using Clover UEFI hotpatch (10.11)

Status
Not open for further replies.
I followed your guide again using the newest Clover and I have audio working without the need to rebuild caches or boot with "without caches" option. Should I leave it like that? or rebuilding cache is something that should be done regardless if audio is working or not?

I really appreciate your time. I was out for a long time because of my studies and lost track with OS X. Thank you for all your help.

No need to do the rebuild cache procedure if the audio is already working.

EDIT : I solved my problem ,it wasn't a hackintosh issue

hello ,and thanks for this great guide
everything was working perfect for a long time ,but recently i faced a problem
which is when put my laptop to sleep ,and wake it up ,,it can't wake !!,i press the power then the laptop run again but the screen is just black ( its not a brightness issue :) ) !! its look like the mac cannot rerun the hardware !! i say that because i notice that when i wake it up the light of the wireless is orange not white <<< my laptop is 4530s
and my os x is el capitan 10.11.6
i don't know when the problem exactly start ,,,but maybe after i had done the latest update ( just small update on the same version not a new version ,i mean my os x before the update was 10.11.6
i attached everything u need
thank's again

Hi @RehabMan,

I messed up with my 850, and just made another fresh install :(.

Sleep from lid closed is partially work, mostly it's not sleep from lid closed. Lid open to wake worked. Sleep from Apple menu, power button also work.

Here's my files. Please let me know if you need anything else.

Thank you :)

Keep in mind normal 15-20 sec delay for sleep. Also check assertions (pmset -g assertions).

Hi RehabMan,
Yes, I remember that it should delay before go to sleep.
Here's my pmset -g assertions result. I attached part of syslog file, included 3 type of sleeps.
Sometime the lid closed but the screen turned on instantly by itself. Hence, it won't sleep.

Please take a look, thank you :)

P/S: is there any "delay time" required between each sleep progress? Maybe I have OCD and tested it too much :(

Hi All,

I have a HP EliteBook 8460p I'm just in the process of installing Sierra to test. I have gone through the guide but was getting stuck with the spinning beachball. Having spent ages and still not got it working I took the old config file that I had from a working Yosemite and it worked!!!

It's still installing, but I wanted to ask by using this old config am I likely to get issues? I attach the config to this post. I tried to compare it to the one I was trying to use (config_HD3000_1366x768.plist), but it looked so different I was just totally lost.

Thanks in advance

There will be a number of assertions just after wake that need to clear. None are shown in the list you provide above, but it sounds like you haven't been checking it before testing sleep...
