How do you guys update to Sierra? I get an error if I want to update. Do I need a new empty partition?

@ Rehabman, I have try to restore AppleHDA without succes : I extract it from the installer using Pacifist and after that Kexthelper but still have the same problem with no sound.

Probably not enough free space there.

Hello Rehabman,
I have run the Osx installer and nothing change : still no sound. Very strange because it worked well before this new instalation. Maybe because it's 10.11.6 ?

Make sure you read post #1, "Known Problems", "Audio" and follow the instructions exactly.

Otherwise, read post #1, "Problem Reporting".

BCM43xx is meaningless. What is the actual hardware?
