The files in this guide contain patches to change external ports from DP to HDMI. This may not be appropriate if your laptop has a DP port instead of HDMI.

If your laptop has DP, please provide the files requested in "Problem Reporting". Capture ioreg when the external monitor is connected. Please make sure your profile provides complete and accurate details.

HI RehabMan,

now that i moved from an AMD systemboard to an IGPU system board i have only one issue left. The DisplayPort doesn't work. Its not only Audio that is missing but the whole port doesn't seem to work. At least osx doesn't detect a second display.

Attached all debug files. Would be great if you could give me a hint on what i forgot here. (based on the ioreg i see 4 framebuffers where fb1 to fb3 have connector type vga - strange ...). I am using osx 10.11.6.

I am having difficulty getting sound working. I initially had used the probook installer, then updated to 10.11.4. I then again upgraded to 10.11.6 and used your instructions for migrating. I have restarted and rebuilt the caches many times. The sound preferences are still completely empty for inputs and outputs. THanks for any help.

Same problem with same computer, audio randomly disappears. I strongly believe in a bug with 450 G2 Broadwell (except for audio, the system works very fine).

This guide does not use any AppleHDA in /L/E. Remove and follow the guide as written.

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Note: When specifying your bootloader, if using Clover legacy, please be sure to specify "Clover legacy"). Specifying "Clover" will be assumed as "Clover UEFI"

Make sure you rebuild cache exactly as described in "Known Problems", "Audio".
 
Thank you rehabman.I just Recommended this tutorial to his probook 4340s with i5 processor and Intel HD 3000. it's work flawlessly. except USB 3 NEC Renesas and AR5B195. how to fix USB 3 NEC Renesas (if any) on Yosemite 10.10.5 ?

and about AR5B195 it seem hardware failure. he can turn on and off wifi, but it can't detect wireless signal. will it possible to replace ar5b195 card with Broadcom 4322/43224 on 4340s ?

I have a strange issue with my Laptop 0 - since a few days the logon screen is garbled on the Laptop screen. The external monitor is fine. When I close the lid the computer switches to external monitor only and when I open it everything is fine. Anyone had similar problem?
