I'm using a standard Probook 4540s (i5-3210m) and I'm wondering the different between install_4x40s and install_4x40s_hires. Could someone pls explain it for me? Thanks!

You would use install_4x40s_hires only if you had replaced the stock 1366x768 screen with a 1600x900 or 1920x1080 screen.

Make sure you read about the known problems with 10.12... (discussed earlier already, and obvious due to pinned thread in the Sierra forum).

On my laptop (probook 450 g3) sierra work pretty well.
Known problem for me:
Little graphic glitch on left corner of the screen and on the finder's Windows drop shadows.
Audio ok after restart without caches.
Touchpad settings empty.

I just updated from repo and installed latest clover and got a boot failure. I don't have a USB handy to get clover maybe this screenshot will point to what I missed?

Hmm just got it to boot with old config.plist

Probably you damaged your config.plist.

Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (omit 'themes' folder).

Hmm just got it to boot with old config.plist
