The RX570 itx arrived today, its a 6 pin connector and requires <150W. Its recommend I use a 500 Watt or greater power supply. I was thinking about running it on Pcie power for now, is this safe?
It won't run without the 6 pin power connected. You could hook up 6 pin power adapter from the motherboard directly if you can't wait to use it. On a side note, I run a full size RX 570 (8 pin supplemental power) off a 400W PSU and it works fine. It's recommend I use a 500 Watt or greater power supply. One of these from EVGA will get the job done for you. Not too expensive compared to most PSUs these days.I also need a little help selecting a new power supply and adapter cables.
Any recommendation welcome
Are you using the RX 560 for the install or the CPU HD4000 graphics ?I have reset the bios, carefully made all the necessary changes and tried again and again...
Is there something I can post to give anyone a clear insight into my system/progress/error?
Give it a try. Installing with HD4000 graphics is how this guide was tested for and written so it should work for the complete install and post install. I didn't even own an AMD graphics card back in 2017. That is now about 3 years ago.Should I remove it and place it back after the installation?
