Hi,
I am following the guide exactly (as far as I can tell) to install Sierra. I have a 8200 Elite with the GT 710. As soon as I complete the multi-beast instructions (before the CPU power management step), restart the computer and it boots to the apple logo (black background white logo/progress bar) the progress bar goes about halfway, then the screen goes black and I get no signal. If I do the nv_disable=1 I can boot back into the desktop. What gives? I would love any assistance, I've been working on this for literally hours to get to this point.

Try booting verbose and see where it stops. Take a pic of the screen. Use macro mode if you have a digital camera or just make sure your cell phone focuses on the text.

Check your bios settings to make sure that the Serial Port is disabled. If not disable it.

It says Onboard devices: Serial Port A Disabled

To confirm, I just redid this step and still get the no signal.
