[Guide] Enabling ATI Radeon HD 5450

Hey, I'm trying to get Yosemite + Chameleon working with an XFX HD5450 (same device id = 68E01002). Do you know what do I need to do on stock 10.10 to get it working? Thanks a lot! It's the 1GB DDR3 model with passive cooler.
 
Hi, i've just installed 10.11.6 on my pc. Last clover version with original apple installer. And now, my shappire hd 5450 is the problem. Can you help me step by step what i have to do??? My next step is installing multibeast, i know what i have to do with ethernet and sound but not exactly with graphics...

Followed your screenshots exactly, but when I looked up at my About This Mac window, its still said
ATI Radeon HD 5450 Series 5 MB
Even though its a 512 mb Graphics card. Can you help me out?

EDIT: It's also stuck at 1280*1024 resolution
 
Hi guys,

I used attached config.plist for Aspire 4738G with ATI HD5470 and my graphic is working very well with El Capitan 11.6

ATI Radeon 5470 uses same Fake ID as 5450.
 
I followed your guide with Radeon HD5450 and el Capitan but can't get ATI Radeon HD 5450 to work. OS X shows me a AMD Radeon HD 6230 and crashes after a view seconds. What is wrong?

I use a Sapphire ATI Radeon HD5450 (PCI-e, 1GB DDR3, HDMI, DVI, VGA, 1 GPU) Series 11166-02-20R . Attached ioreg. The "iMac"-File is from boot with clover from usb-Stick and the "MacPro3-1" from boot with installed clover (I don't know if this is a difference for analysing).

Config + ioreg looks fine. What is the problem you're having?
