[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

CPU and GPU PM seem to be working properly without HWPEnabler nor SSDTPrGen. Even GPU seems to work fine since I observe all the power states. According to Pike, reading 0.0GHz in Intel Power Gadget for quiescent GPU is correct.
Peak performance meets expectations for this chip, and it seems that on idle it reaches lower states.

@RehabMan, can you explain how's that possible? Are the OEM SSDTs of this laptop completely MacOS-compliant by factory?

Nice, every time i come back to this guide new solutions got found :D
So I would possibly go with the qhd model. Changes I would expect are:
-no CABC
-less battery
Anything else?

Mirror-like screen
Half battery life
Much more chance of getting coil whine

Guide updated for 10.12.3

EDIT: attached complete AppleIntelInfo dump.

HWP affecting iGPU? (didn't know that was part of it).
No X86PlatformPlugin/AGPM loaded, so this is not true OSPM (macOS controlled) PM.

Yes, but what is controlling PM, then? HWP?
Why is HWP enabled? This is a fresh install where I never used any HWP enabling method.
I did use the Clover HWP flag in a prior test install. Does it set a permanent flag in a CPU register?
I'm quite intrigued.

Soldered.
My advice is to go with the FHD i7 8GB (if it is sold in your market), less load on the GPU, less chance to get Coil Whine... if you can live with CABC.
Got mine for 1000€ from Dell during Christmas sales.

@bozma88 have you tried this firmware update in Windows to disable the CABC?
UPDATE: Link removed because it's only for QHD display not FHD.

BEWARE!
Only QHD screen has a flashable firmware. That patch is ONLY for QHD screens. Trying to flash to the FHD screen may lead to display bricking.

Oh crap, I didn't see that in the .exe. Wish they would point that out somewhere in the description. Thanks
