Any progress on USB? I have the same setup and the usb ports that I have hooked up to the onboard USB 2 and USB 3 headers do not function (my front USB 2/3). USB2 and USB3 back ports function normally. I am new to clover and clover configurator, so what I have tried so far with that has not worked. Would you mind posting any Clover Configurator settings that you have changed from the norm if you got things working?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi mykiuls. My system case is the older Fractal Core1000. Which doesn't have a front USB 3.0 connection so I'm unable to test that. The internal USB 2.0 header is working as I've got it connected to the iMac wifi/Bluetooth PCie card and it works. Suggestion, take a look here [Guide] 10.11+ USB changes and solutions It has a lot of information that may help. Install FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext to EFI/EFI/Clover/Kexts/10.11 folder or if you are installing to /Library/Extensions use KextBeast to install it.

With my system case (Lian Li, see Avatar) I can use the front USB 3.0 without any problems. :)

Great guide!

I just installed on my H77N and everything is working great. I do have one question. On reboot my system shows the Apple logo and the loading progressing bar and then reboots again. The second go around I get the Apple screen, "Your computer restarted because of a problem...". After all of this the system boots up and I can use it normally.

It's like this on every reboot. Every once in a while I get 2-3 reboots until its back to normal.

Any thoughts? This is still a base system and the only things installed were from following this guide.

Is there a report at the desktop after you've been greeted with the message. If there isn't take a look in Applications/Utilities/Console and check for any error logs. What else is attached to your system, USB devices etc?

Right now all that is plugged into the machine is a used mouse and keyboard. I swapped those with another pair that is attached to second Hackintosh machine that I have running fine and I get the same problem.

When I turned this machine on this morning I got the error again and it rebooted once and went into the desktop and has been working as expected. Looking into the logs as you indicated this is one that I found with the timestamp from this morning:

Looks like the problem could be caused by your GT740. I've read numerous reports that users needed to install the Nvidia web drivers for this card as the native OS X drivers didn't deliver. Performance will be the same and it is worth a shot if you haven't already done so. There is a Backtrace with graphics drivers.
What processor are you using and which System Definition?

ok so I installed the web drivers and that seemed to help. I am no longer seeing the problem every time that I reboot. I did however have it happen once but things are way better.

I am using an i3 processor with the iMac13,1 dedinition

See how it runs for you for a couple of days with the web drivers. Hopefully your system should remain stable. Good to see an improvement.

3. I went to two places for audio. The first place was Audio - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]
Note: the H77N-WIFI audio codec is ALC892. Mounted EFI partition is required for the audio script as I've installed in UEFI Mode. In the guide go down to Section 3 CloverALC. Follow the 1-8 simple steps, do not restart, you can restart shortly.

I'm confused about this. Do you mean this section:

III. Piker-Alpha AppleHDA8series Script

It's the only section I can see that has 8 steps. Thanks.

That part of the guide is for 8 Series boards where we have 7 series. The audio guide has changed as from yesterday, see change log. I'll update my guide accordingly. The required script which is now here Audio - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]
II. Realtek ALC AppleHDA Scripts

  1. Download script (select one script, Download/View Raw)
    1. audio_cloverALC-110.command.zip
      • patch kernel cache
      • no edits to any native AppleHDA.kext file
      • 2-4 files added to Resources folder
