[Guide] Booting the OS X installer on LAPTOPS with Clover

Hello,

I managed to install and boot into MacOSX on the laptop in my signature, but i am only able to boot on the laptop SSD with the USB stick. When installing it doesn't allow me to create anything else but a macos journaled partition. I did install Clover on the root drive, but can't get the bios to boot off it, and can't find why after looking on google & forum.

Any ideas why ?

Hi Cosmin Cucu.
I had a similar problem. Search my post.
In my case, i had to replace /EFI/CLOVER/config.plist by the custom one that i used when creating the install thumb drive.

And i also had to create manually a new uefi boot entry in the bios menu in order to boot whithout the thumb drive plugged.

You need to configure Clover just as you did for USB. (config.plist, drivers64UEFI, kexts, etc).
 
Hi man, thanks for your efforts.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get the Intel graphics to work.

My laptop is Dell N5110
Processor: i7 2670QM
VGA:
Internal: Intel 3000 HD
Integrated: Nvidia 525M

I tried both files
https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config/blob/master/config_HD3000_1366x768.plist
and
https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Cl...b/master/config_HD3000_1366x768_7series.plist

And they didn't seem to work, maybe clover just ignored them.
With the original config.plist file the Graphics are read by the system as the following:
Intel HD Graphics 3000 3 MB
But after I add your files it read as the following:
Display 3 MB

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

Use only the appropriate config.plist for your hardware.
Make sure you fill out your profile as per FAQ.
If you have an issue, read FAQ, "Problem Reporting". And open a separate thread.

I cloned with cc cloner yosemite with unibeast boot, but not unibeast cloned? Why?

off topic, this thread is for creating a usb installer with clover

Unibeast not used in the laptop guide. "cc cloner" not used either.
