Well, I don't mean to sound snarky, but it states right in the post "IOBluetoothFamily".

Thanks bradybear, I did open that kext, by going to IOBluetoothFamily.kext > Show Package Contents >Contents > MacOS > IOBluetoothfamily

I dragged the binary file into 0xEd and searched for the hex string to be replaced, but 0xEd didn't locate it.
Is it because I am running 10.10.2?

Thanks for sharing your discovery.
In what file exactly do I place this? I have a hex editor, but don't know which file to apply this patch to.

I did read post #1 and frankly its not entirely clear as to what files need to be patched.

I have the same Azurewave CE123H mini PCIe and while I am able to get on my 5 GHz Wifi network,
I can't figure out how to get Handoff working.
I am on 10.10.2.

Thanks very much in advance!

You can hex edit the IOBluetoothFamily kext directly, or use Clover to patch the kext on the fly. I like the latter since it's "more native" and you aren't actually touching the native files.

This is for 10.10.2

Thanks! I found the hex code in IoBluetoothFamily like you said.
I fixed permissions, rebooted. System Preferences says that Handoff is enabled.

Then I logged out of iCloud and then logged back in on both my iPhone and the Hackintosh.
Even then, handoff does not seem to work.

What gives?

Using native 94331. Should it not be working? Shows as supported but is not working for the continuity features.

Made sure to get in pcie x1.

Noticed in console that yesterday was getting messages besides supported, stopping handoff advertising and scanning but today after switching to pcie x1 from the x16, "Handoff" only shows supported.

imac 13,1...

Must have missed something...

v.10.10.2 - z77 ds3h -bios f9 -i3 3225-r9 280x

guide used: NA, native

You also have to ensure that the correct firmware is loading for your bluetooth. See post 1 and download the BrcmPatchRAM kext and install that.

How do I proceed with the RT5390 Wireless Adapter?
