GTX 1070 Under Performing?

Hi everyone.

I just built my first system and everything seems to be working fine.

I did some benchmarking on my GTX 1070 and I think that the scores are quite low? Could someone share some information and/or tips? Are they indeed low or are these figures normal?

I'm doing my first Hackintosh on a Dell Alienware 15 R3 at the moment. Still some issues to work out but I ran some benchmarks on it in Windows 10 to compare once I get everything up and running. It uses the i7-7700HQ and GTX 1070 8GB.

My benchmark in Unigine Heaven 4.0 under Windows 10 running Basic and Ultra/Extreme settings:

BASIC
FPS: 185.7
Score: 4678
Min FPS: 9.7
Max FPS: 296.3
Render: Direct3D9
Mode: 1280x720 2xAA windows
Preset: Basic

ULTRA/EXTREME
FPS: 81.3
Score: 2048
Min FPS: 9.0
Max FPS: 151.8
Render: Direct3D11
Mode: 1920x1080 8xAA fullscreen
Preset: Custom
Quality: Ultra
Tessellation: Extreme

So even in Extreme it's getting 500 points higher score than what you've posted. I'll be interested to see what benchmarks I get once I'm ready to run them on my Hackintosh.

Yes, that seems low. Could your motherboard have some slower slots that your card is in ? n.b. I was told mine does
