Graphics card recommendation for a non gamer / heavy Adobe CS5 user

Why don't you wait two weeks and pick up the new 660ti?

I definitely would not recommend the 5** series, as the 6 series is natively supported now.
If money is no object then just get the 670 or 680.

According to tweaktown, the first review, the 660ti is going to be a good card, close to the 670 but for about $50-$100 less

I'd go with a 5xx card vs a 6xx card as the 6xx cards were built for gaming and not so much as much for general computing. At least in GPU rendering I know that the GTX 580 beats the GTX 680 hands down.

The Kepler(6XX) cards do fine with single precision math, which AFAIK is what most photoshop/video work is. What they suck at (as in as bad as 1/8 the performance) is double precision math, which is 3D/math calculations/science-y stuff.

It can't hurt to wait a couple of weeks for the 660 to get released. The major difference between it and the 670 (at least for the 660ti) is the width of the memory bus it drops from 256 bit down to 192 bit.

FYI, the 560ti 448 core is actually a slightly crippled 570 which is the GF110 chip not the GF114 in the 560s. So it's noticeably more powerful, though now days you can get a full 570 for about the same price. Still worth while if you can get a good price on it

ha I was just about to ask one more recommendation on two 560 ti 448 core cards and make the purchase today:

MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti - 448 Cores (Fermi) N560GTX-Ti 448 Twin Frozr III PE/OC (currently $260)
or
EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 448 Cores FTW 012-P3-2066-KR (currently $240... they also have a slightly better $270 model as well 012-P3-2078-KR)

but i will wait to check out the prices and specs on the 660 ti when it surfaces. Just dont want to pay too much more for "gamer" requirements since i am not in this category. Thanks all for your help guys!
