Hi all,
I'm planning to build my second Hackintosh, which will be mainly used for editing and color grading video using Davinci Resolve.

In my "old" hackintosh I use a GTX980 which is not really powerful enough, since it only has 4gb.

Does anyone have any recommendations for me? I looked at the Radeon RX980 (as it is used im Blackmagics eGPU) but according to https://www.videocardbenchmark.net it only has about 7800 points (GTX 980 has 9636)

Maybe a Radeon Pro Vega 64?
Did anyone have any luck with two rx980s?

Or should I stick with Nvidia cards?

Price should be reasonable, but it will be used professionally, so I'd say up to about 1000 will be alright
Thanks guys!

RX 580 or RX590 can work well, but in a Pro workload machine you will want something more like Vega 64. Radeon VII is showing signs of early functioning in 10.14.4 Beta with some tweaks, but actual performance isn't there yet. Something to keep in mind perhaps.

Vega works today, could be months before Radeon VII shows significant improvement.

I use the GTX 1080TI Nvidia card for Davinci Resolve.
I'm a professional user, and i can firmly say that it works perfectly.
I get a realtime readout with 4k prores 422HQ material with one node noise reduction, 5 correction nodes and one LUT node. so yeah, the 1080 TI works really well.
