What bios version are you running? Uncontrollable boot loops used to happen to me on F2. Had to use the reset jumper to get out of it.

I'm currently running at base of 43x and 47,46,45,43 turbo... Running nice and stable. 11.4k geekbench.

well dont forget I have i5 2500 and not 2500K ...

at the moment I put on 39 .. and it looks stable .. but Im not expert ..

I have F4 version as BIOS ...

With 32 bit geekbench, I get 11.5k at 4.2ghz, I have broken 12.5k before (you will see around 14k for 2600k's), but at speeds and voltages I wish not to run 24/7.

Confirmed - I get 14,800 or so with my 2600k running at 4.4Ghz. It seems I get no advantage going any higher with all auto settings - scores are lower at 4.6 and 4.8Ghz.

I'm pretty happy with these speeds anyway - much faster than I'll ever need. Not to mention my CPU idles at 26C

When i have a bit more time I'll play around with voltages etc.

F2 was the buggiest BIOS I've ever seen. Move to F4 to get rid of those shenanigans.

I'm getting 70-80C temps under load using the stock settings (34x no Turbo). That stock cooler has got to go.
Can someone suggest an aftermarket cooler that will clear G. Skills Sniper Ram?
I don't intend to OC past 4.2ish
Thanks

RX7Dude.

I got the XIGMATEK Gaia SD1283 cooler and love it.

I have 2 kits of G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 and the fan barely clears the heat sink. Note: my memory does not have the fan.

The nice thing however with the heatsink is you can mount the fan on the other side of the memory for more flexibility.

You will need a deeper case. It fits great in COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811119196

I have a Zalman CNPS10x Peforma (About $30) and at 4.4ghz (upped it a bit), my load temps never go above 60C, idle around 38C, although that is in a hot room (78F)

Hey Xiola69
Thanks for the pics. I have a HAF 912 so that should fit. What kind of temps are you seeing? Are they similar to Gord's? The only comparison I have is my old E5200. It never got above 40C even at full load. I had it OC'ed to 3.2. Don't remember what brand of cooler it had but it was smaller than what you guys are using.

Hi,

I am getting about 37C idle and when rendering video it will peak to about 68C running a 2600K at 4.5Ghz

Seems like I'm getting a bit lower temps, between 25º (first 2 cores) and 32º (other 2 cores) idle and max out at around 52º and 62º after several minutes running CPUTest.
I'm using a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ in a Thermaltake V3 case, pretty cheap stuff but they perform quite well.

Oh, and my 2600k is running @4,2ghz now and I'm getting 15000 with Geekbench 64.
