Hey guys!
Comments:
This is my first build. I read up on hackintosh, UniBeast, MultiBeast and decided I´d give it a go.
I got a friend to help me put the pc hardware together as he´s a computer tech.
I put it together to get a power-pc for audio production, and tried to follow TonyMacx86 suggestions for builds. Thanks to everyone on here for this resource, and especially SPballer, and Beast093 for their instructions.
The build:
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD7 TH
Intel Core i7 4790K
OCZ Agility 3 120 gb SSD
http://ocz.com/consumer/agility-3-sata-3-ssd
EVGA EVGA GeForce GTX 750 SC 1GB (01G-P4-2753-KR) Graphics card
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IDG3LUO/?tag=tonymacx86com-20
Crucial Ballistix 16 gb ram (2x8gb)
Corsair RM 850 PSU
http://www.corsair.com/en/rm-series-rm850-80-plus-gold-certified-power-supply
Fractal design R5
http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/define-series/define-r5-black
I also have a couple of hard-drives, the TP Link wd 800 and a FW800 card but they´re not hooked up.
In fact after seeing all the trouble the graphics-card has made for people in here in booting the installer, and after I had a lot of issues with booting myself, I decided to unplug it.
Why Yosemite
I've had a lot of difficulty getting a Yosemite installer, as I had an audio program that didn't really like Mac updates for a while; Pro Tools, and, therefore, haven´t updated any of my Macs for a while and downloaded installers, except for Mavericks for some coincidence. I tried installing Mavericks for a while, but I didn't really get anywhere, and saw online that a lot of people have had trouble with the GTX 750 and Mavericks. So after a while, I got Yosemite for a while, and it suits the Pro Tools I have now, but, if this doesn't pan out, I'll either get another graphics card or install El Capitan.
Others builds and instructions on this forum
I have an practically identical build as Beast093:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/user-buil...e-10-10-5-windows-7-audio-workstation-tb.html
And have been using his and SPballers BIOS settings and boot flags. But to no avail so far. I´ve gone through their instructions meticulously, but still have the feeling I missed something. I also tried removing a stick of ram and using the maxmem=4096 boot flag.
So my boot flags have been for now dart=0 kext-dev-mode=1 slide=0 npci=0x2000 PCIRootUID=1 nv_disable=1 UseKernelCache=No maxmem=4096 -x -v no-zp
The only difference I can see is that the graphics card is a bit weaker but of the same generation as Beast093. Also I booted the motherboard to F6. And I by some coincidence put Clover on my UniBeast USB, I don´t know if that´s what UniBeast does as default this day or I pressed something I shouldn´t. So it could be any of this making it different. Or something else entirely.
So to the actual problems:
When I´m only running on motherboard graphics, and without WiFi card I strand on this kernel panic:
Missing Bluetooth controller transport
With the WiFi card I get a bit further, but end up stranded at
ATHR: Unknown locale: 21
So I removed the wifi card again. Been trying some different combinations of boot args but not really getting anywhere. Such as npci=0x3000 GraphicsEnabler=No
Let me know if you can have any suggestions that might help me. Also open to changing my build if that can help me have a less complex hackintosh-life, as long as it´s not over 400$. Also if I´m not doing my homework here in some way, let me know.
If you´re curious check out the pictures I enclosed.
-----------UPDATE----------------
So I tried going into single user mode to give that a try. Followed the instructions about missing Bluetooth controller on:
http://macdrug.com/solve-issues-errors-stucks-mostly-faced-in-hackintosh/
It wasn´t running from Root, but it seemed to go ok with bash 3.2 (check if it was vulnerable, it wasn´t), at least the second time.
But still to no avail. Ended up in a strange kernel panic that doesn´t show up on google, when I pressed exit, you can see it here:
"This service is defined to be constantly running and is inherently inefficient."
Tried shutting the machine, running the boot flags above, but got into the same kernel panic as before: Missing Bluetooth controller transport!
