Gigabyte Z690 Aero G + i5-12600K + AMD RX 6800 XT

In full load (is more visible) 4 e-cores are not working. @CaseySJ you can see this also in benchmark page, I have 12 cores 20 threads, you 8 cores 14 treads (2 doesn't work?). Look at processors activity when running Cinebench 23.
Yes I noticed that as well, as shown below. I'm hoping this is a bug in the kext...

I think it's about treating the e-cores like HT capable.
Agreed. If you see my GeekBench screenshot, it says 8 cores, 14 threads.

i5-12600K has:
  • 6 P-cores
  • 4 E-cores
This is 10 cores, and then we also have:
  • 6 Hyper Threads
So how did we get to 8 cores and 14 threads? Maybe like this:
  • 6 P-cores
  • 2 E-cores
This is 8 cores, and then we also have:
  • 6 Hyper Threads
The total of this is 8 cores and 14 threads. Activity Monitor, however, shows 16 threads and 2 of them are inoperative, hence 14 working threads.

Your GeekBench screenshot says 12 cores, 20 threads so:

i9-12900K has:
  • 8 P-cores
  • 8 E-cores
This is 16 cores, and then we also have:
  • 8 Hyper Threads
So how did we get to 12 cores and 20 threads? Maybe like this:
  • 8 P-cores
  • 4 E-cores
This is 12 cores, and then we also have:
  • 8 Hyper Threads
The total of this is 12 cores and 20 threads.

So it seems that HALF of E-Cores are always inactive.

Can I have your new EFI/Config file?
Which Z690 motherboard do you have?

Because OpenCore 0.7.6 is expected to be officially released tomorrow, I'll post the latest EFI at the bottom of Post 1 tomorrow. It will contain these latest changes.

Asrock Z690 Extreme.
I want to check what I am doing wrong with the launch of E cores (panic at the start of the download). Updated config I meant)

New config with active E cores.

...
  • In BIOS all P-cores, E-cores, and Hyper Threads must be enabled.
  • Have you added the kernel patch? Is the patch enabled?
  • Which CPU do you have?
  • Please post screenshot of OpenCore Configurator --> Kernel --> Add section
  • Are you using SSDT-PLUG-ALT.aml?
  • Are you using the latest Lilu.kext?
As @Feartech pointed out, please double-check the posts on Page 40. Everything you need is there:

1. Yes.
2. Yes (But, I suspect, I was mistaken here. Therefore, he wants to look at you.).
3. 12700K (update profile info).
4. First Lilu (new, 40 page), and new kext. SMCProcessor delete.
5. SSDT-PLUG-ALT.aml 1 post file v0.5
