Gigabyte GTX 660 Hackintosh compatibility

I am considering buying the following graphics card from newegg:
GIGABYTE GV-N660OC-2GD GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

This is the NON-Ti version, so I'm wondering if there might be any compatibility issues for my Hackintosh build ?

Gigabyte Z77X-UP5 TH motherboard
Intel Core i5-3570K @ 3.4 GHz CPU

Im getting really annoyed with the hackintosh community...


gk 106 is barely supported. Only supported through nvidia drivers.. however the nvidia drivers are only for 10.8.1 ...

honestly look at the new imacs.. 660m 675m and 680 m... NOTHING gk106 !!! what a disapoint meant the gt670m would have been gk 106.

its a huge disapoint.. the gtx 660 after doing tons of research imo looks to be one of the best bang for buck video cards right now... saddly if you want otb kepler support you need to down grade to 650 or upgrade to the 660ti..

I JUst found this out the hard way after snagging a hell of a deal on a 660 for only 180.

you might also consider a radeon 5870.. seems to bee a good hackintosh option if you wanted better performance than the gtx 650 .. you casn get 5870 for around 100 on ebay.

660gtx is supported by nvidia and they do have 10.8.2 driver!

install,

set graphics enabler to 0

restart.

good to go!

I have to say though .. my fps are amazing.. but i seem to get choppy game play.. not sure what the issue is..

just installed cuda drivers maybe this will fix it.

I have the EVGA Geforce GTX 660 SC 2GB (192-bit). Works fine. No trouble at all. With Graphics enabler =No.
