Great news about Etron controllers!!

Just got the Etron working on P67X-UD3-B3 using "USB 3.0 - NEC/Renesas" in MB

And more to come!

Gigabyte is going to have more Z68 motherboards and we'll be seeing boards with an mSATA connector on them which will accept mSATA SSDs:

Z68XP-UD3, Z68XP-D3, Z68AP-D3

Gigabyte has so far only provided a single picture via its Facebook page of the new board and it doesn't reveal much at all about the board itself. The SSD in question is the mSATA version of Intel's Larsen Creek SLC SSD, also known as the 311 series.

As far as I know, only the 3 higher-end models are available all across Asia and Australia, but the embargo will end tuesday.

btw, Z68X UD4 seems a great board, althought we probably can´t use those Etron controllers for USB 3.0 in osx.

That's a nice looking board- but I'm pretty sure most of the Z68 Gigabytes including this one have non-functional USB 3.0 chips as of right now.

Only the UD5 and UD7 will have Renesas USB 3.0 working in Mac OS X.

Isn´t a deal breaker, despite all, since you can found Pci-e controllers with Nec chips for about 15€

Edit:
UD5 and UD7 also will have VLI VL810 hubs, that make it unusable with current LaCie drivers, as far I know.
