Had M.2 drive working once (yes formatted to extended journal) and accidentally ejected it and it wont show up in Disk Utility now.

For Ethernet, you will need to search for drivers for it. The device-id is 8086:1539. Maybe is supported by AppleIntelE1000e.kext? (it definitely is not supported by IntelMausiEthernet.kext).

What kind of M.2 SSD?
 
Intel 600 series 256g
 
I also have been following your guide and have tried what I found for a 9 series board. Yes it is nmve and I did have it working until I accidentally ejected it
 
Thanks for the link. My last build was an intel mobo and was as vanilla as u could get. This mobo is a nightmare

Can you run both AppleIntelE1000e.kext and IntelMausiEthernet.kext together?
