I'd like to find a Nvidia GPU which supports my two monitors on DVI.
One of my monitors has a resolution of 1920x1200, the other 1920x1080. Total pixels, 4377600. I currently have a Geforce 220 which offers 2560 x 1600 digital pixels, total 4096000. That falls short of the total needed, so one of my monitors is on DVI, the other on VGA (analog).
It seems to me a no-brainer that in this day and age, a GPU with two DVI ports should support two monitors with my resolutions. But I can't find a straight answer despite trawling extensively on the net.
I'm thinking of a 650 Ti which offers, according to Nvidia, a maximum digital resolution of 4096 x 2160, comfortably beyond my needs. But the small print on Nvidia's website states that this is only for a single HDMI connection and not for dual DVI. So what resolution can I expect from a dual DVI or even from a DVI + HDMI ? Nvidia (and the web) is silent.
Can anyone advise me on this?
