- strange mouse behaviour? please specify!

- if you have no sound, check your sound driver options, see what multibeast offers! there must be conflicts, or missing drivers, or wrong drivers.

The mouse is "laggy". The sound now is working with the multibeast install.

Regarding the mouse performance, maybe it's an system overall performance issue. I was occupied last week and couldn't dig on this...

"It seems that the mouse/performance is fixed after I put the X79USBXHCIPCI.kext on Clover Kexts. My USB 3.0 ports on the front panel are working. I'll do some tests to compare with my Yosemite install and will report back. :)"

I'm not using this Kext anymore.

So far the system is running fine, with USB 3.0 on front panel working at same speed as in Yosemite. I just having some trouble with the boot. It fails about 3 or 4 times before it successfully enter on Mac Os. Anybody with the some problem?

This random boot is related to the USB 3 ports. If I disable it on the BIOS it boots fine.

Searching for alternatives now.

I did managed to install, but still have a strange mouse behaviour and no sound.

Did you try to attach you USB drive on the back ports?

Hi there!
Gj that you managed to install it! :) I made the USB in legacy mode but I only used the front ports. Did you also made it in legacy mode but used the back ports?

Yes! The first time I used the back panel USB 2.0 ports, but on the second I used the 2.0 ports on my monitor's hub.

Now I'm testing the system and if everything works fine I'll redo the install and write a guide =)

I let the system working since yesterday and the issues right now are:

• No sound after wake from sleep.
• No USB 3.0 front panel ports after wake from sleep
• Speedstep Is working when the IEST option is disabled at bios with defaults CPU clocks but not with a 4ghz overclock.

I'll work on make a SSDT so maybe I can fix it.

Cheers!

Hi Rafam, did you have success on GA X79 UD5?

I can't install:

- before disabling USB 3 at BIOS.

- After USB 3 disabled at BIOS

I tried with nv_disable=1 but the result is the same.

If you know something, please, help me!

Thanks!

Hi mmastriani I did managed. I'll prepare a guide and post it.

In the meanwhile here is some WIP on the guide:

USB 3 must me DISABLE at BIOS

Clover Configurator

Boot arguments: -v dart=0 darkwake=0 npci=0x2000 kext-dev-mode=1 rootless=0

Devices: USB (v) inject / (v) Add ClockID / (v) FixOwnership

Kernel and Kext Patches: (v) Apple RTC / FakeCPUID "0x0306A0"

• Rt Variables: BooterConfig = 0x28 / CsrActiveConfig = 0x3

• SMBIOS:
Press the magic wand an select "MacPro3,1"

• System Parameters:
Inject Kexts (Yes) / (v) No caches (v) Inject System ID

You will need the following kexts in your EFI/Clover/kexts10.11 folder

- FakeSMC.kext (http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=282)
- FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext and FakePCIID.kext (https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-fake-pci-id/downloads)
- USBXHCI_FL1009.kext (FL1009 chipset USB3.0 solution for El Capitan)
- NullCPUPowerManagement.kext (http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=268)
- AppleIntelE1000e.kext (http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=263)
- HDAEnabler1.Kext (https://github.com/toleda/audio_kext_enabler/blob/master/HDAEnabler1.kext.zip)

When you finish the installation you will need to mount your EFI partition and run the audio_cloverALC-110 command by Toleda (https://github.com/toleda/audio_CloverALC/blob/master/audio_cloverALC-110.command.zip)

Good luck!
