How did you get iBoot to work with this board ? I also have it and have had no luck. I thought I was on an advance level but can't seem to get it to work.

I would like to use SL as well because the "spaces" on loin sucks. Any help would be great thanks in advance.

i managed to install snow leopard without userdsdt
i first installed snow leopard 10.6.0 with iboot
then i ran updatehelper and updatecombo 10.6.8
multibeast wtih easybeast and nullcpupower kext

i dont have audio wifi an bluetooth,now but i'll try to find out

you should boot with
PCIRootUID=1

I tried that flag with iBoot 3.3.0, 3.0.4 and iBoot legacy 2.7.2

no luck. I am hoping you have some more tricks up your sleeve

I have also used these flags by themselves or with others.

-v npci=0x2000 PCIRoot=1 & ( 0 )

-v -x npci=0x2000 PCIRoot=1

Ops ... I forgot to ADD the UID part. Its booting now, now I'll see if it works later after work. Could you send me your smbios.plist and dtst ?? if you get a chance ?

the only thing you should do,is boot with PCIRootUID=1
rember to have ahci in bios
it should install mac os x properly
after this you should install update helper and after that update combo 10.6.8
then just tick from multibeast:easybeast,usbrollback and last voodoo choice for the sound,also lin2mac or sometinh like this i dont rember now,for ethernet
after installation it should start properly
if you want to change something for yout boot,download chameleon wizard

All Great help tips. Thanks. I got 10.6.8 installed today and I am working on the sound right after I time machine every thing !!! lol


I had to boot npci=0x3000 plus the PCI root thing. I think i was using a bad DSDT and kext. I'll have to post a guide later with ever issue one can encounter later.

I caught Multibeast not putting a few things in the boot plist. That was a major issue.

Thanks for all your help. Why can't it be easy like on the old gigabyte boards. chameleon + 10.6 USB boot and your DSDT and two simple kext for audio and stuff.

Probable going to make my own chameleon boot thing for this board and bypass iboot and chameleon like I have done a few times for gigabyte boards.

It looks like you all have laid the groundwork for me but this will be my 1st hack (and I am doing my research) so ANY other info/tricks/tips/guides (hint, Alexander ) you think one would benefit from your experience is much appreciated.

Question: How is the on board sound for this board? I plan on just mixing so I do not need an interface for now but is the audio quality great with the voodoo kext or would you recommend a PCI card that's more compatible?
