GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0 (FH) USB 3.0 not functioning with ML and MB 5.0.2

Just confirming... I'm running a GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0 (FF) mobo and OSX Lion 10.7.5 and have tried everything to get USB 3.0 to work. Best I could do was have it show up as USB 3.0 Super Speed Bus in the system profiler but connecting a USB 3.0 hard drive would not show or mount anywhere. What I did to get it to work was the following...

1. Remove any old PXHCD kexts that I'd tried previously.. the only Cal kext I have is "CalDigitHDProDrv.kext" all others delete.
2. Download "MultiBeast - Mountain Lion Edition 5.5.5" (notice it's the Mountain Lion edition)
3. Select only Drivers & Bootloaders/Miscellaneous/USB 3.0 - Universal and install
4. reboot and viola! USB 3.0 working like a charm. The kext it installs should be "GenericUSBXHCI.kext" in S/L/E

So just to confirm this works for Lion 10.7.5 as well as Mountain Lion 10.8.x
