Hi all,

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X220 working very nicely with Mavericks 10.9.1.

Brightness works using the ScrLk and Pause keys to adjust up and down inside OSX. The only problem is that the steps seem too high: at step 0, the screen is off, but the next step is something like 60% brightness, instead of, say, 10% brightness as I'd like it to be. This means I can't dim the screen much for battery savings at present.

Is there a way to adjust these brightness steps in the DSDT?

Thanks!

matt

Please provide complete details in your profile.

System: manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx). For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.
