Tonight I tried to modify the base clock of the i5 and run geekbench in 32bit, here are the first results:
original 2.66Ghz - GB score: 6406 average temperature around 39°
2.90Ghz - GB score: 6980 average temperature around 42°
3.00Ghz - GB score: 7172 average temperature around 55°
3.20Ghz - "you got to turn off your computer" message (?)
While at 2.90Ghz I tried to launch 2 movies, Logic pro playing a song (full of virtual instruments), guitar rig 3 open, Vmware Fusion, itunes playing a song, geekbench running a test, all at the same time and got a temperature maximum of 60°...is that too hot?
Let me know your impressions...
