I will carefully compare the cards, but I was wondering if you thought there was an issue with the card being 4GB? You recommended the Lightning:
http://us.msi.com/product/vga/N680GTX-Lightning.html

I was leaning towards a 4GB GTX680 and only chose the ASUS because I am familiar with their brand and reviews were in their favor. What do you think about the MSI version of the card: http://us.msi.com/product/vga/N680GTX-Twin-Frozr-4GD5-OC.html

How about the EVGA version: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130794

I really don't have any experience with either brand. I was originally leaning towards the GTX690, but I couldn't find any confirmed working installs with OSX. What do you think about that card?

The 4gb from MSI looks wonderful. But, if you plan to put two cards in in the future, why not get a more powerful 2gb card for now(add in anoter 2gb card later). The reason why the Lightning is special is because you can change voltages to GPU, whereas with normal GPU's you can't. DON"T get the EVGA one, it only has one fan, is noisy, and is hot.

So I went and read a number of reviews and also all the comments on various sites, like Newegg, about all these cards and MSI does seem to have the better reputation. Especially the 4GB card, with the exception of needing a special SLI bridge when you want to go with 3 or 4 cards. The good thing is I will never expand beyond 2 cards. By the time I need more than 2, it'll be time to build a new system and give this monster to my wife! lol

One additional feature I found with the 4GB MSI card that ASUS didn't is it supports 4K displays through the HDMI port! I might get one of those in the future!!!

I like the fact that the MSI 4GB card comes overclocked since I will not tinker with that feature much if at all. I think I'll update the other thread with the MSI card and contemplate getting 2 of them now.

Thanks again StickyS!

No problem! Do you have a final list of all your components? What are they?
