(FINALLY SOLVED) Thinkpad T480s - MacOS13.5.1 - OC 0.9.4. - 2 ACPI Errors

This post is about a Lenovo Thinkpad T480s with the following specs:

I have installed MacOs 13.5.1 on it using OC 0.9.4.

The TTS error comes from a duplicate method between SSDT-Sleep.aml and SSDT-LED.aml. Strange thing is sleep works.
The OINI error is more confusing to me, since I cannot file any dublicate. The only mention of this method is in SSDT-INIT.aml.

However and although I have successfully installed hackintosh on three laptops and four desktops using the subtle technic of plagiarising other people's work and expanding it (guilty), and have absolute no knowledge on how to correct these errors. Moreover I couldn' t find anything similar to work on.


Therefor, I humbly request for your help to solve this annoying situation.

Hello.
First, sorry for off-topic, but I'm looking to buy a thinkpad. Question — if your 480s has one, do you know how that miniEthernet port (part of dock connector on left side) works? Can you see it in the system, e.g. via System Info or Hackintool?

On your question — wow, these are rather extensive ACPI edits. While I've no idea about what half of them does, conflict in SSDT-Sleep looks like it could easily be merged into SSDT-LED; see attached files. At least they compile without errors.

SSDT-INIT probably conflicts with stock DSDT/SSDT.

Short story: you have some function _FOO in stock ACPI. You want to add some small edit (for example, return 0 in some case or set some variable). To not mess with original code and keep patches to the minimum, you do this:
1. rename original _FOO to XFOO via patch (in ACPI/Patch part of config)
2. in separate SSDT create _FOO in the same location
3. place there your edits and then call original XFOO from within _FOO.

In your case, SSDT-INIT has OINI that sets some variables and then calls ZINI, but there's no rename patch in config. I'd suggest disabling SSDT-INIT until you find out what it does. You might want to contact the author on github.

I will test the ssdt and your suggestions and report back

Meanwhile I can confirm that the LAN port works perfectly well.
When I manage to reduce power consumption (in Intel Power Gadget) at idle bellow 1 watt (with thunderbolt disabled) and in general bellow 5 watts at half brightness, I will have the perfect Hackintosh laptop.
At the moment, with Thunderbolt and card reader turned off and screen at half brightness, with undervolt and cpu turbo turned off, I seat in idle at 1,20-1,30 and 5,60 - 6,00 watts respectively .

I also tried to merge SSDT-SLEED with SSDT-LED. It compiled without errors, but had new ACPI errors.

I am starting to get frustrated.
The thing is that the laptop seems to be working fine.

Any changes that i try, create a new havoc of ACPI errors.....

The problem seems to be is these two .aml files.

So... the _TTS ACPI Error disappears only when SSDT-SLEEP is disabled in OC/ACPI.

Sleep seems to work fine without this SSDT.

Can someone with ACPI knowledge explain to me what this SSDT does? Why is it necessary for this machine.
The thing is every repo in github for a t480 or a t480s includes this SSDT in its configuration. I have posted issues in this but got no answers yet.

I also just got a T480s and I'm playing around. The problem you are facing is, that you are loading the SSDT-Darwin (1st) and SSDT-Init (2nd) too late. They have to be in the first place. And then you can load the SSDT-Sleep.

What the SSDT Sleep is doing, can be read in the veeeery well documented patches section of the https://github.com/tylernguyen/x1c6-hackintosh repository: You have to open the .dsl files. He wrote long descriptions, what each ssdt does. Also: Don't forget to add the patches, which are necessary to several ssdts.

I still got some errors and I'm fighting with the hibernatemode 3 or 25 (system freezes on wake up from dark wake). But other things are working quite well.

Thank you very much for you information and help.
I have visited many times tyler' s and berbender's repos and read everything.
It never occurred to me to open the dsl files.

I am on it and i will report back
