Fenvi T919 and Broadcom wifi back in Sonoma with OCLP

Maybe OT but anyways!

I do not have a Fenvi T919 but a PCIe Asus PCE-AC-68 (BCM4360).

The problem I have is I can’t use OCLP 1.3.0. as I don’t have the « modern WiFi patch » offered in root patches.

Instead, I have to edit sys_patch_detect.py inside the master source folder of OCLP, download Python required modules (requirements.txt), use the Build-Binary.command (to download Payloads and Universal Binaries… but the app build fails) and finally, invoke OpenCore-Patcher-GUI.

Quite convoluted, but it works at least! Also, I must add -brcmfxbeta as a boot arg, without it, no WiFi!

**I’ll try to disable AirportBcrmFixup and child, AirPortBcrmNIC just for fun…
**It’s for the Dell XPS 8930 in my signature.

EDIT: test done, no need for AirportBcrmFixup…

Now that 14.3.1 is out, anyone have it working without breaking Broadcom WiFi root patch?

I had to download the full package via my Ventura boot as the download wasn’t allowed from Sonoma (probably because it’s root patched).

Next, I’ve reverted the root patches and unchecked all WiFi/BT related kexts from my EFI and I am now in the install process (full install on top so it’s loooooooooog!).

I’ll report back, successful or not :).
